Inside Chekhov's masterpiece, Olga, Masha, and Irina are trapped in a cycle of disappointed hopes, heartbreak, and inertia. But this time, it's going to be different. Looking for answers, this trio investigate the trope they have been written into, from Greek mythology to the Sugarbabes.

Harnessing the raucous energy of girlhood and the wildness of three women on the brink, SISTERS THREE sets ablaze a construction of femininity drawn by men, to find hope in its ashes.

Summerhall 2024

‘Trios of women recur across Western culture…This second show from TheatreGoose - the…terribly exciting emerging company that impressed at last year’s festival with Her Green Hell - is an absorbing, metatheatrical romp through them all.’

★★★★ The Stage

‘Last seen at the fringe with excellent solo show Her Green Hell, TheatreGoose is back with another highly physical, female-centred work…A fascinating idea that leads slowly but surely to a glorious sense of empowerment.’

★★★★ The List

‘TheatreGoose’s Sisters Three is a highly accomplished piece of theatre…wondrously entertaining’

★★★★ NorthWestEnd UK

‘TheatreGoose’s production goes deeper, unlocking subtextual nuances and unspoken conflicts within the original text. Visually, the production enchants and unsettles. TheatreGoose’s production not only honours its source material but also challenges the audience to reconsider the narratives we inherit and the roles we are expected to play.’
